Access & Outreach

Lucinda Rumsey is Supernumerary Fellow in English and Senior Tutor (and from 2003-20 was Tutor for Admissions). She teaches Old and Middle English Language and Literature. She was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award in 2007, and in 2019 was awarded an MBE for services to social mobility in Higher Education. She served as Senior Proctor for the year from March 2021.

As Registrar and Director of Admissions, Helen has oversight of all on-course student administration, admissions and outreach.

Helen works in the Academic Office, which can be found on the ground floor of Staircase B.

The Academic Office is usually open on weekdays between 9:30am-5:30pm, apart from during our lunch break which is taken at 12:30pm-1:15pm.

As McBain Access Officer, Sarah works with schools and colleges to encourage students from under-represented backgrounds to apply to Oxford. She works with students, parents and teachers across the country with a particular focus on Mansfield’s link regions in Yorkshire & the Humber and Greater London.
