Mansfield alumnus Torsten Bell (PPE, 2002) appointed Pensions Minister

At the 2025 European Rowing Championships in Plovdiv, Martha was part of the Women’s Eight crew that won gold, and also secured a bronze medal in the Women’s Four.
Following that success, she went on to win another gold in the Women’s Eight at the World Rowing Cup I in Varese, Italy, helping Great Britain to a strong overall performance in the early stages of the World Cup series.
“The medals were incredible to win, but the best part of racing for me is always the bonding memories and laughs with my teammates.”
Martha began rowing during her time at Mansfield with the College Boat Club and has since gone on to compete nationally and internationally with the GB senior squad. You can read more about Martha’s rowing journey here.
