This celebration came after Lady Hale and Robert Spano’s discussion on ‘inclusive democracy and human rights’, a Mansfield public talk chaired and convened by Principal Helen Mountfield KC on Friday 5 May, in a packed auditorium with students, members of the public, and local community.

In her conversation with Helen Mountfield and Robert Spano, Lady Hale noted her experiences as a female judge and the struggle for equality for marginalised groups particularly women, but also refugees and asylum seekers.

Current Mansfield undergraduate Geographer and student journalist, Eleanor Luxton, has summarised the talk on ‘inclusive democracy and human rights’ in more detail in her piece for The Oxford Student here.
