Beautiful spaces

Our historic Oxfordian architecture sits amidst contemporary facilities and picturesque outdoor spaces. Mansfield is perfectly situated in a quiet yet very central spot – close to the science parks, libraries, and city centre – with one of the biggest Junior Common Rooms (JCRs) in Oxford.

Close knit-community

We think we offer a wonderful College experience for our community to learn and grow together – with 24-hour libraries and accommodation for all years of undergraduate study. Plus 13 clubs and societies, two College cats, and vegetarian and vegan food twice voted the best in Oxford.

Meet our students

A College with a high proportion of students being state educated was important to me (I am the only girl from my school who has ever got into Oxbridge). Being a small college, I have friends in all year groups and subjects. Mansfield really is a community!

Hannah Carter, Geography student

My favourite thing about Mansfield is the chill vibes. There’s always someone I can talk to, (or) someone willing to play Mario Kart or table tennis when I feel like a break. And loads of events like Welfare Teas, Origami, board games nights, and open mic nights.

Ittihad Hasib, Mathematics student

I sit on the JCR (Junior Common Room; student council) bench as Fresher’s Officer, planning Freshers Week and hosting events as part of my welfare responsibilities. I am also the LGBTQ+ Rep for an anti-sexual violence Students’ Union campaign.

Flav Covaci, English student

There are a lot of study spaces; I like the library if I want solo study time and I love the Crypt (our College café) for informal group study or catching up with friends. In the nicer weather, it’s nice to study on the outdoor tables or the quad.
