Mansfield College intends to appoint a fixed-term Lecturer in English (Literature in English 1660-1830). The successful candidate will be expected to teach six weighted hours a week (averaged over three eight-week terms) through a combination of tutorials and classes in a minimum of two papers in the Final Honours School: Literature in English 1660-1760; Literature in English 1760-1830.
They will be expected to participate in the organisation and administration of English at Mansfield in collaboration with the other English tutors, involving: assessment and interview of candidates for undergraduate admissions; the setting and marking of internal college exams and assessments; and supporting skills development in the subject.
