Mansfield Professor appointed Rector of Brunel University

Warmest congratulations to our Physics Fellow, Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell, who has been appointed as Rector of Brunel University of London.

As a ceremonial figurehead of Brunel University, the Rector confers degrees and presents awards, such as at graduation ceremonies, and also holds an important ambassadorial role for the university.
