Announcing his knighthood, Chris expressed in a Tweet that he was:

“grateful and chuffed to bits”

In a video statement, Chris pledged to use this honour to renew his commitment to his many causes which include: his constituency in Rhondda; a national strategy for acquired brain injury and protection for people with skin cancer; championing human rights across the world; uphold the highest possible standards in parliament and in journalism.
