Mansfield Student Imogen Boxall Competes in OUBC’s Osiris Crew 2025

On a beautiful July day earlier this year, the Principal, Helen Mountfield QC, travelled to Penarth in Wales to hand over the D Litt which was awarded by the University of Oxford to Professor David Marquand in recognition of his long and distinguished academic career.
In a short and impromptu ceremony in front of family and friends, the Principal reflected on the influence of Professor Marquand’s long and distinguished academic and political career, and his contribution to the life of Mansfield College.
Professor Marquand made a heartfelt speech thanking his wife of over 60 years, Professor Judith Marquand, for all she had given to his life and work. It was a happy day.
