Principal Helen Mountfield QC has returned to Oxford after participating in the 20th edition of the Doha Forum, with the theme Transforming for a New Era.  The Doha Forum is a high level international conference to discuss pressing issues facing the world, such as crises in Ukraine and Afghanistan, the role of women in promoting democracy, the role of culture in development, stable financial systems and sustainable development. Participants included many remarkable global leaders, champions and change makers, including Malala Yousafzai, former President of Ireland, Mary Robinson, President Zelensky of Ukraine (remotely), architect Jacques Herzog, the Emir of Qatar, Roya Mahboob who founded the Afghan Girls’ Robotics Team – and David Beckham. Helen participated in a panel on Mobilizing the Rule of Law in response to the Climate Crisis with senior judges from Europe, Pakistan, Britain, Qatar, and renowned climate scientist Professor Sir Brian Hoskins of the Grantham Institute for Climate Change.
