In 2020 the University of Oxford celebrates 100 years of women having the right to matriculate. Similarly, the academic year of 2019 – 2020 marks 40 years of mixed-gender undergraduate cohorts here at Mansfield. To mark both occasions, we are reflecting on our women’s history from the first ordinand in 1913, to the present day.

The first project in this series is Women at Mansfield: A Brief History, which introduces some of the key figures in Mansfield’s history, particularly the women who attended the College in the early twentieth century.

The second is a Photographic History of Women at Mansfield, a collection of personal photographs kindly contributed by both current students and alumni who attended Mansfield between 1979 to the present day.

If you’d like to contribute to the Photographic History, please get in touch with us by emailing communications@mansfield.ox.ac.uk.
