Fees & Finance
The careful management of money during your time as a student is of great importance. The information provided below is designed to give guidance to help with your financial planning during your degree course. The College seeks to keep charges to students at a reasonable level, and meal charges in particular represent exceptional value for money.
When you begin study at Mansfield, an account is opened. This is called a 'battels' account, and it records all the financial transactions between you and the college.
There is information available about prizes and scholarships for Mansfield students.
Further information can be found in the Financial Guide for Undergraduates.
Undergraduate Course Fees
For up-to-date information about course fees for Home/EU and Overseas students, please consult the Oxford University website.
Course Deposit
All undergraduate students must pay a course deposit of either £100 (UK and EU students) or £300 (overseas students) before starting their course.
Details of how to make payment will be included in the information pack sent to all new students.
This deposit will be held until the end of your course, and applied initially to your final battels bill (usually prepared in early July). All final credit balances on student battels accounts will be refunded by either cheque or bank transfer.
