Support the Campaign
I hope you will choose to play a part in our future by supporting the creation of this building in any way you can. With your support, this project will transform lives and transform the world.
Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, Principal
£13m is required to fully fund the Love Lane building, donors of the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights and alumni and friends of Mansfield College have been wonderfully generous and we are thrilled to announce that we now only need to raise £600,000 towards the costs of the project. We hope you will be part of bridging the gap to ensure Mansfield fully funds this much needed facility through philanthropy.
Construction of the building is well under way with works starting in January 2016 and a completion date in time for students to move in at the beginning of the 2017-2018 academic year. With Mansfield’s small endowment it has been necessary to take out a bridging loan to enable us to start the build. It is imperative now that we are able to raise the remaining £600,000 to protect the future of the College. Donations of any size will make a difference and we hope our alumni and friends will make their mark on Mansfield by supporting this transformational project.
“We are very excited to participate in the development of Love Lane, a project that marks the start of a new era at Mansfield. The Love Lane Building will serve as an anchor for the College’s transformation, enabling more students to live on-site, enhancing Mansfield’s reputation globally and setting the College on a more stable financial footing. Within Mansfield, Oxford’s new Institute of Human Rights will work to further the protection of basic human rights – central to what Mansfield’s founders stood for. With the Love Lane development, Mansfield will stand proud as it continues to develop as a significant hub for intellectual life and learning in Oxford.
We invite you to join us and support Mansfield together – we will match your donations pound for pound up to £2m, which will help Mansfield achieve its final fundraising target."
