Stephen Blundell in OUSU Teaching Award shortlist
Professor Stephen Blundell, Professorial Fellow in Physics at Mansfield College, has been shortlisted for Oxford University Student Union's Most Acclaimed Lecturer Award 2017.
Each year, Oxford University Student Union (OUSU) recognise the exceptional hard work of a member of staff at Oxford through the OUSU Teaching Awards. This year they have received a record 895 nominations made by students of the University.

Professor Blundell has been a Fellow at Mansfield since 1997 and currently teaches Quantum Mechanics to 2nd year undergraduates and Quantum Field Theory for Condensed Matter Physics to graduate students. His research focuses on condensed matter physics and quantum mechanics.
OUSU have emphasised the very high standards of nominations that have been received this year and there is a specific set of criteria which Lecturers must meet in order to be shortlisted.
By being shortlisted, Professor Blundell has been recognised by the students he teaches for his engaging lectures, his enthusiastic and approachable style as well as giving his students a desire to learn more about their subject.
