Sharing the Love! Mansfield’s Record-Breaking Giving Day
On 2 March 2023, our ‘Love Mansfield’ themed Giving Day got into full swing. Over the 36-hour Giving Day, almost 150 generous supporters came together and raised a record-breaking £110,000 for Mansfield students. Thank you to everyone who took part.
This year’s Giving Day featured inspiring and heartfelt videos from our on-site College community, as well as ‘why I #LoveMansfield’ messages from alumni. We had a wonderful rendition of ‘Love Changes Everything’ by the College choir and enjoyed stories and photos from our ‘Met at Mansfield’ couples who kindly shared with us how Mansfield was, literally, the place where they found love.
With Mansfield bathed in spring sunshine, our on-site community helped unlock £4,000 of donations from some of our generous Giving Day Challenge Supporters, by helping the Principal to create a heart shape on the Quad and taking photos with the #LoveMansfield Instagram frame. Online, Mansfield’s alumni and friends helped to unlock further challenge funding by kindly making a gift.
To date, over £110,000 has been donated by our generous supporters for this year’s priority projects: Mansfield Matters, which supports all aspects of student life, and the Sanctuary Scholarship, which supports students who have been displaced by war. We would like to thank everyone who helped to make this Giving Day a huge success. Together, our supporters are helping Mansfield to break down barriers and provide the tools and resources needed for students to thrive here.

It was only thanks to the kind and generous Mansfield supporters that my dream could become a reality and not just an anecdote.
