Mansfield is 5th in the Norrington Table!
Mansfield has achieved its best ever position in the Norrington Table, coming in 5th place. In a year of 64 finalists there were 28 firsts, and in more than half of the subjects Mansfield takes there were three firsts or more (in Maths, Physics, History, Geography, PPE and English).
The Senior Tutor commented: 'Our students work really hard and it is great to see them doing so well. Sometimes articles in the media link widening participation to higher education with a drop in academic standards. We are showing that the wider we reach, the better our students do. We are really proud of the success of all of our finalists, and of the care our staff put into admissions, teaching and support for our undergraduates’.

What is the Norrington Table?
The Norrington score provides a way of measuring the performance of students at each college in finals. It is based on the classifications of undergraduate degrees awarded and expressed as a percentage.
