Love Lane: Progress update
Work continues apace on Love Lane. The bricklayers, stone masons and screeders have been delayed by a few days by the recent cold weather (the mortar won’t set below 4 degrees) but all other activity continues as planned. This includes the zinc cladding to the top floor and second fix joinery works on the second floor (see photos below). Within the Institute of Human Rights electrical and ductwork are continuing and the underfloor heating has been laid on the lower ground. Screeding has been carried out to the plant room and several of the other lower ground rooms. The lift installation is virtually complete, with minor items to be carried out at commissioning stage later in the project.
Immediate future works include the continuation of:
- Brickwork and stonework to the external elevations.
- Mechanical and electrical internally.
- Screeding to the lower ground floor, followed by the ground floor.
