On Sunday 15th October we were delighted to host a very special concert in celebration of the centenary of one of Mansfield’s most distinguished scholars.
Thank you to all who attended the George Bradford Caird Centenary Concert. The evening was held in the Mansfield College Chapel and was packed with students, members of the public, Fellows as well as G.B Caird’s own family and friends.
Professor George Bradford Caird was a key figure in the history of Mansfield College. He was a Theologian, Humanitarian and Biblical Scholar and served first as Senior Tutor at Mansfield and then as Principal from 1970-77.
The special concert to celebrate his centenary featured both classical and contemporary music performed by distinguished musicians from G.B Caird's own family and friends as well as the Mansfield College Choir and the Proteus Ensemble and Chorus.
