Hi! I'm Miles, studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics. I was initially very scared about attending Oxford, questioning whether I would fit in or be clever enough to cope. Thankfully, my worries have changed into an absolute love for the University and my College. Given Mansfield's small size, you'll be able to know so many people in the year, and I have yet to meet anyone who wasn't friendly, fun, and interesting. We're also very international here, which for someone who likes to meet new people is a real blessing. Mansfield itself is a beautiful College, which strikes the perfect balance between being awesome and cosy. The Common Room, Crypt Cafe/Bar, Hall and Quad are all great places to hang out with friends or study, and if you want somewhere quieter, we have four amazing libraries, and are close to so many of the main Oxford libraries. I also love Mansfield's location, as we're close enough to wander to the city, gym, park, and much else within minutes. I've also found all of my tutors to be so pleasant and insightful, and they never fail to make me look at my subject in a new light, challenging but also helping me along the way.
