Finding and borrowing books
A SOLO search includes most other Oxford libraries and the electronic resources to which the University subscribes. To view only Mansfield books, restrict your search to Mansfield Library using the drop down box, and then limit results to physical items. For more help on searching see the Solo Guide.
Your search results will give a call number for the book (e.g. 9082 BAR), which you can locate in the Library using the floor plans at the entrance.
Suggestions for new books or extra copies are very welcome. New books are often ready to borrow the next day. Just fill out this form to suggest a book.
Borrowing books
Use the self-issue computer at any Library entrance to borrow books using your Bodleian card. 12 books may be borrowed and will be issued for the current academic term. If you experience any problems with the self-issue computer, please use the self-issue form to report it.
All books need to be renewed (via SOLO) or returned to the Library in First Week of each term. Books can be renewed twice.
If you can't find a book you are looking for, please let library staff know by emailing library@mansfield.ox.ac.uk or by completing the missing book form.
Leave books to return in the box or on the trolley outside the Library Office, or on the trolley on the Library landing.
