Each year Mansfield runs several regional Application Conferences, aimed at providing Year 12 students, staff and parents/carers with information about studying at Oxford and making a competitive application. The conferences are open to students from state schools and colleges in Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Doncaster, East Riding, Greenwich, Hull and York.
The conference is designed to give prospective Oxford and Cambridge applicants an insight into the application process and what to expect. The sessions will cover an overview of the admissions cycle, information about what we're looking for in the personal statement, an explanation of the aptitude tests, and advice and guidance about the interview process.
At the end of the conference there will be a Parents and Carers Talk, which will provide information about the application process and how best to support an application. This will take the form of a short talk and a Q&A with the admissions team and current students.
