School Visits

Home Visits

At Mansfield we encourage visits from school groups in years 9-12 to provide information about Oxford and answer any questions students have about continuing their education at university level. We are particularly keen to make contact with schools with little or no history of sending students to the University of Oxford.

Each visit will involve a variety of different activities designed to give students an impression of university life and all that Oxford has to offer. We will tailor visits to the particular needs or preferences of the visiting group, some sample timetables can be seen below.

Away Visits

A member of the Mansfield Access team can also visit your school or college to give presentations and run workshops with your students and any interested staff. We normally work with Years 10 and up between January and July.

-          Personal Statement Workshops: Offer guidance on writing focused, engaging and successful personal statements.

-          Interview Workshops: An opportunity to discuss and practise interview skills, focused on challenging some of the preconceptions which surround Oxford interviews.

-          Presentations on applying to Oxford: A guide to the Oxford admissions process focused on advising students on making a competitive application and alleviating their concerns.

Presentations for for Teachers: Talks for teachers interested in learning more about the Oxford application process, personal statement and reference writing and how best to support students.
