Open Days 2012

In 2012, Mansfield College will be holding Open Days on Wednesday 27th June, Thursday 28th June and Friday 14th September.

If you are thinking of applying to Mansfield, our Open Days will give you the opportunity to take a tour of the college, meet our subject tutors, and to ask any questions that you may have about the college itself or the admissions process. Plus, it's a great way to meet other prospective students who are in the same boat as you!

The Open Days will run from approximately 10.45am until 1.00pm with the opportunity to drop in for tours during the afternoon. The timetable below will give you an idea of the day's events. Please note that these times are currenly only provisional and a finalised programme will be available nearer the date.

10.45-11.00	Registration
11.00-11.30	Introduction by Tutor for Admissions
11.30-12.00	Tours of the College
12.15-13.00	Meetings with subject tutors*

*Students may attend one or two talks during this session.

There will also be an opportunity for parents to meet with the Tutor for Admissions at 12.30pm.

The College will be open for tours throughout the afternoon, closing at 6pm.

Candidates should complete a booking form if they require overnight accommodation or lunch. Candidates wishing to attend sessions with subject tutors only are also advised to make a booking, but may still attend (space permitting) if they arrive promptly at 12.15pm.

Lunch
On the day, a free lunch is available to all potential candidates and accompanying teachers but not for parents or any other persons. This lunch will be served at approximately 1.00pm, after the meetings with subject tutors.

Accommodation
Limited accommodation (Bed & Breakfast only) is available either for the night before the Open Day (e.g. 26th June) or the night of the Open Day, for individuals who have a long distance to travel. This will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis. We can only provide accommodation for individuals attending our Open Day in particular. (Please email the Access and Admissions Administrator at admissions(at)mansfield.ox.ac.uk to check availability)

To book a place at the Open Day, please complete the following booking form and return it to the Access and Admissions Administrator, Mansfield College, Mansfield Road, Oxford OX1 3TF no later than one week before the Open Day date. College Tours

The College is open to prospective applicants for guided tours on weekdays. If you are interested, please contact admissions(at)mansfield.ox.ac.uk.

We are also running tours during the Easter Holidays in conjunction with other colleges and with University departments.

To book a place on one of these tours, please fill in the following booking form and return to it to the Access and Admissions Administrator no later than a week before the tour you wish you attend. You can email it to admissions(at)mansfield.ox.ac.uk or post it to Access and Admissions Administrator, Mansfield College, Mansfield Road, Oxford OX1 3TF.
