Grants

Undergraduate & graduate students

Walford Fund

Dr Diana Walford, Mansfield's former Principal, has made a donation to the College which is to be put into a fund for the use of students. The purpose of the fund is to enable the College to make individual awards to students for academic and academic-related purposes. The College and University have a number of funds to which students can apply for support (details of College funds are outlined in the College Memorandum). The purpose of the Walford Fund is to meet needs which cannot be met by those other sources of funding.

Any undergraduate or graduate wishing to apply for an award from the Walford Fund should send a letter to Helen Etty (Academic Administrator), indicating the sum of money they wish to apply for, and how they would use the award.

The closing date for applications is Monday 6th week of Hilary Term. Awards will be made by a panel consisting of the Bursar, Senior Tutor and Tutor for Graduates. Enquiries about this award should be sent to the Senior Tutor.
