Standing Orders

Our donation forms for the 125th Anniversary involve giving to Mansfield via Standing Order for a period of 48 months.

A standing order allows a donor to make a tax-efficient gift to Mansfield for a set period of time (at the donor's discretion). And all you need to do is complete a Standing Order form, together with a simple Gift Aid declaration - both of these feature on our donation form.

The benefits to the College of this method of giving are two-fold. Firstly, knowing we have regular income enables us to plan for the future with confidence. Secondly, we are able to reclaim the tax owing on this income from the Exchequer, thus increasing your donation at no additional cost to yourself.

Under the Gift Aid system, Mansfield is allowed to reclaim the basic rate of Income Tax which has been paid on the value of the gift - currently 22%. A higher rate taxpayer could reclaim 18% of the gross figure: i.e., the difference between the current higher rate (40%) and basic rate (22%) of Income Tax. This enables a donor paying tax at the higher rate to make a larger gift at no additional cost.
