As a College with a long history of welcoming visiting students from North America, Mansfield can today count on the support of a widespread and active alumni contingent there, particularly based around the Northeastern United States.

With the help of some of these alumni, we do attempt to hold regular informal get-togethers for former Mansfield students from across the pond. If you would be interested in taking on an active role in helping to organise these events, please get in touch with the Alumni and Development Office at development@mansfield.ox.ac.uk and we would be happy to put you in touch with other active Mansfield alumni in your area. As well as these informal get-togethers, April 2011 saw Mansfield host a drinks reception in New York attended by the Principal and the University Vice-Chancellor, including a lecture by Politics Fellow Professor Michael Freeden.

We are also planning to hold an event in 2012 to allow our North American alumni to meet Mansfield’s new Principal, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC.
