Summer VIIIs and Boat Club Dinner

You are cordially invited to attend the Summer VIIIs races down at the river, followed by the Annual Boat Club Dinner, to which we welcome rowers past and present, as well as those seeking a nice day out in Oxford. Donald MacDonald, Mansfield Alumnus and rower, Blues rower during the Boat Club Mutiny, and Patron of the College, has kindly agreed to speak at the dinner.

Summer VIIIs: you will be met from the Head of the River pub by Boat Club members, including Reuben Holt, MCBC Events Officer, and escorted to the thick of it: the Mansfield Boat House. There will be a cash bar but please bring your own sarnies. Reuben &co. will be at the meeting point at 2:45 (to make a day of it), and again at 4:30 (to see the top races). Please indicate on the booking form if you would like to attend the races, and at which time you would like to be met.

MCBC Dinner: the Boat Club Dinner is, in some respects, the biggest event of the year. There are over 100 places for students, their friends and families, and alumni and their guests. Tickets are £27 (£22 student ticket), which includes four courses and beverages. Guests are more than welcome. Dress code: black tie or Boat Club blazers.
