Second Annual Law Society Dinner: 21st February 2009

Law alumni and professionals, Law students and aspiring Lawyers, tutors and guests were invited to Mansfield Law Society's Second Annual event. Pavlos Eleftheriadis gave a summary of the thriving nature of Law at Mansfield, and Nick Broomfield, Law Society President, introduced our speakers. Three of our illustrious Law alumni each spoke for a few minutes on their recollections of Law Mansfield, and on their career trajectories. Amanda Sanders (Law 1987), Richard Ellison (Law 1976), and Martin Collier (Jurisprudence 1978) each regaled us with memories of snuff-taking tutors, infamous white polo-necked jumpers, and fake port, before relating how they progressed from studenthood to, respectively, solicitor with Norton Rose, Partner with Wragge and Co., and head of Fenners Chambers. The common sentiment between the speakers was that studying Law at Mansfield had launched them into successful careers, and they expressed sincere encouragement for current undergraduates.
