Congratulations to Simon Fairclough who has been awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize for his project entitled "Synthesis and characterisation of magnetically doped type-II heterostructured colloidal nanocrystals". The prize, of which only a handful are awarded each year across the MPLS division, will allow Simon to pursue further research in Oxford for six months after completing his doctorate in Materials Science.
