Three Mansfield Tutorial Fellows have had their academic excellence recognised by the University through the award of the title of Professor. This is in recognition of their outstanding research records, leading, in each case, to a significant international reputation and coupled with excellence in their teaching.

Those honoured are:

• Ros Ballaster, Fellow and Tutor in English - Professor of Eighteenth Century Studies
• Steven Biller, Fellow and Tutor in Physics - Professor of Particle Physics
• John Sykes,  Professorial Fellow and Tutor in Materials Engineering - Professor of Materials
