The most convenient arrival airport is London Heathrow, from which there is a frequent express coach service to Oxford (see below). London Gatwick is a little further, but again there is direct coach service to and from Oxford. Birmingham International, Stansted and Luton have less frequent coach and/or rail connections with Oxford.
There are frequent direct trains from London Paddington and regular links northwards via Birmingham, southwards via Reading, and westwards via Didcot. Consult the interactive timetable at www.nationalrail.co.uk. The station is a 20 minute walk from Mansfield, but there is of course a taxi rank at the station.
There are very frequent services from London Victoria Station and Heathrow and Gatwick Airports operated by Oxford Bus and Stagecoach ('the Oxford Tube'). A rather less frequent service connects with Birmingham International airports. There are connections with many other parts of the country, including a direct service to Cambridge. The central bus and coach depot (Gloucester Green) is a 10 minute walk West of the College. Detailed information about coach services can also be found at OXLink Ltd.
To avoid Oxford city centre, approach via the A40 northern ring-road and take the A4165 Banbury Road southwards for about 2 miles to Parks Road. Continue along Parks Road until you reach Pitt Rivers Museum on your left. Shortly after this there are two sets of traffic lights at which you should turn left into South Parks Road. On South Parks Road take the first turning to the right into Mansfield Road. Mansfield College is situated on the right hand side.
