Supernumerary Fellow in Geography

Also a Senior Research Fellow in the Ecosystems group in the Environmental Change Institute. Main research interests include: potential impact of climate change on landscapes, ecosystems, species and ecosystem service provision and the implications for conservation management and policy; the role of adaptation in offsetting climate change impacts and the science-policy interface.


Recent projects and publications have been concerned with the impacts of climate change, mitigation and adaptation actions on biodiversity and the vulnerability of species, as well as ecosystem services as a conservation strategy. She has just published a book Biodiversity in the Balance - Mitigation and Adaptation Conflicts and Synergies (2009).
